My Review
This is one of those romance books to pack in your bag for an afternoon of peaceful reading when you want to have a few hours of romantic escapism to the wonderful countryside and history of Northern Tuscany. Mix this in with a pretty English girl trying to escape from her past, an unbelievably handsome Tuscan man with an obnoxious Fiancée and you have all the ingredients for a steamy romance that moves at a fast pace in its idyllic setting.
Kate imagines her characters well and ensures that her readers can also picture them too with her descriptive writing that builds up physical and mental images of what they are like, both to each other and to those around them.
For a short read of a couple of hours this story, of just under 200 pages, will leave you with a cosy romantic feeling away from the pressures of modern life. Pour yourself a glass of crisp white wine , or make yourself a cuppa, whichever you prefer and enjoy.
