Synopsis:

Imagine a world without trees. A world that is in many ways like our world, but where magnificent canopies, tree climbing and leaves rustling in the breeze are now only distant memories.

Until a young girl comes along, a girl who is brave and spirited and willing to follow where her imagination takes her. Through Olive's adventures in the world of trees we are reminded of nature's extraordinary power and beauty, and her actions ultimately sow the seeds of new life in her own world.

From the mind and pen of bestselling author Luke Adam Hawker, The Last Tree is a powerful evocation of the fragility of our natural world and a magnificent celebration of its beauty.

My Review:

This has to be one of the most beautifully written and illustrated books I have read for a long time. A wonderful picture - based book of pen and ink drawings and meaningful words that will appeal to fans of Charley Mackesy

This is a book to take your time over, relish the drawings and focus on how the words take you on Olive's journey to sow the seeds of new life into her world.

This is one of those books that you will keep and share with all generations of your family and friends ...... a book that you will return to time and time again to remind us that we are the keepers of this world and it's nature.

The beauty of this book , in both words and pictures, speaks for itself. 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 aren't enough for this wonderful book.
