 In The Shadows by Jane Isaac



For all those fans of DCI Helen Lavery from the previous books by Jane Isaac you will not be disappointed with this next investigation in the series. I was hooked from the first page and it was like catching up with an old friend, meeting up with Helen again.

For me the story lies get more intricate and clever as the series has progresses and I have to admit I did not have an inkling about who the killer was until very near the end.

Jane's writing and storyline make for gripping and compelling reading and I actually sat until the early hours and read this book in one sitting as there was no way I was going to bed until I knew who was behind the atrocities.

If you haven't read any of the previous DCI Lavery books you can still read this as a standalone in it's own right, though I would be incredibly surprised if you didn't then go and find the earlier books in the series.

This is a definite 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 book from one of the up and coming writers in the world of Detective investigations.
