Across The Parallel by H.O.WARD

was published by Partnership Publishing in November 2021.

My thanks to the author for gifting me the book in return for an honest review.

Synopsis

The Eyes Of The Universe are Always Watching You

If you believe, or if you don't .....

Life -

is but a fragile cycle of everlasting consciousness

within the parallels and the order of time,

where all things are known;

past - present - future.

This novel tells the story of George, a conscientious

Lancaster Bomber pilot, who crosses the parallels of life

and experiences the wisdom of the universe,

the mystery of space-time consciousness and the fraught history of the past...

But what lies ahead in the enigma of his future?

My Review

This is a really interesting and thought provoking book and one that you need to keep an open mind about as you explore what George feels as he crosses the parallels and comes across the concept of out of body experiences. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the questions it provokes whilst picking up the subtleties between the different parallels and also Somewhere 2143 at the end.
The way the book starts with;  'Tao' The Way Of The Universe , and Before The Beginning There Was Wuji straight away has you wondering what happened before the Parallels? What are the links between the different Parallels ? Are there links between the Parallels ? You need to read it for yourself and assimilate your own thoughts as you read this clever book.
It is not a book to rush through but one to take your time over, look at each of the characters in the different parallels and make of them as you will . Don't look for what is not there but accept what is and question your thoughts as you read.
I personally hope H.O. WARD rights more books along this mindset as there are times we all need to read a book that gently, and subtly challenges, or even channels, our thinking.
Everything about the book works. It moves gently between each chapter and Parallel. It gives you subtle hints as you move forwards with the story between the different characters and the description and emotion it creates are just right.
After reading Doris by H.O.WARD, which I thoroughly enjoyed,  Across The Parallel is in a different league and is a book I would recommend you should all read.

About the Author

I'm hooked on writing . . .

It has been a slow start but since retiring I find myself at my desk most days writing one thing or another.

It all began with poetry before writing about a life experience as detailed in my first novel Doris. To write Doris I needed to research the facts and the places in which she found herself and I found this to be most enjoyable to bring history back to life while delivering a realistic fictitious story.

I stuck with historical fiction for my second novel 'Across The Parallel' and added a spiritual aspect to the story that put a whole new spin into the book; released November 2021.

For my third book, for which writing has commenced, I am changing tack and writing a totally fictitious story titled 'Venice Lagoon.'

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy my books.
Regards . . . H.O.WARD
