Benedict’s wife died in childbirth, so he raised his son alone. When he meets Stella, he is overwhelmed by guilt. And as a respected professor of astronomy, can he really allow himself to fall in love with an astrologer?

My Thoughts

I love it when a favourite author branches out into a different genre of writing and Hannah Keens doesn’t disappoint. I had read all of her Greek mythology stories which she writes as Helen Steadman which have been excellent and informative reads. Meantime in Greenwich is the first of three “ Gentle romantic comedies set in England” and it fills this brief perfectly. I sat down and devoured this book in a few hours snuggled up by a warm fire with the first snow of the season on the ground outside. Escaping to Stella and Benedict’s world, two “lost “ individuals who find each other through the stars is a chance to have some space to breathe easily and leave the real world behind for a while.

If you are wanting a more in depth book, or romance, then this isn’t for you, however, you will be missing out if you don’t pick it up on this simple , beautifully written easy read centred on “ Love, Laughter and Happily Ever After “. 

As an avid reader I read a wide variety of books from many authors and genres and I find that I need different books at different times. Meantime in Greenwich is one of those lovely books that I reach for when I just need to have a few hours of “Me time” and recharge my batteries, a well being session for my brain.
