Synopsis
Everyone's favourite magical ginger cat returns to his Apothecary on Mosaic Street in book two of the Magical Mister Mishkins Series. Here, Mister Mishkins encounters Celene, a girl with a dream to dance with the mice on the moon. As well as Celene, Mister Mishkins and his clowder of cats help a range of children with their everyday fears.
When a boy jumps into the Apothecary drawers, Mister Mishkins' new friend, Nero the Hero, joins the cats as they battle the emotions within the realm and try to reach the boy before it is too late.
Will they be able to save the boy? And will Celene make it to the moon? Mister Mishkins has all the answers!
Samantha Mattocks' next book in her spellbinding The Mister Mishkins Series further evolves the colourful, magical world she has created, brought to life so beautifully by Gerda Smit's illustrations and loved by children the world over.

My Thoughts
This is an absolutely lovely book for children and is the second in The Mr Mishkins series, though I will be honest I haven’t read the first one yet - but I will be doing !
The concept behind the story is beautiful and is perfect for children who need a little bit of “Magical “support .
Samantha has taken some of the fears that children have e.g monsters under the bed and scared of the dark , along with other aspects such as loneliness and boredom , and put a supportive and non-fearful aspect to them by using cats.
Mr Mishkins and his Apothecary shop on Rainbow street magically turn up when there is a need and children who need it are able to find their way there . Once there they are guided by Mr Mishkins to a drawer , and a cat, which will help them see things differently.
The story’s main character is Celene, a child who cares for her mum and feels lonely ,and it is lovely to see how she develops and feels happier as the story progresses to its magical ending.
There are times when all of us could do with a Mr Mishkins in our lives and childhood is one of these. This is a truly lovely book from Samantha to sit and read with any child in your life and I look forward to the next book in the series .
